There are many different types of WWI aircraft such as fighter planes, Fokker planes, and bomber planes. All of these planes were used by both the central and allied powers.
Fighter planes:
Fighter planes were used to take down other planes, drop bombs, and were very small but fast.
Fokker planes:
Fokker planes was used by the Red Baron. This plane is most know for its ability to turn.
Bomber planes:
Bomber planes were made to attack people on the ground and drop bombs. There are three types of bomber planes; Strategic, tactical, and fighter (fighter is up above).

Machine guns were accounted for thousands of deaths. Soldiers would sit right above there trenches and wait until people would come and then they would shoot. Machine guns would shoot about 450 rounds a minute and it would take at least six men to work the gun. Machine guns could shoot up to three kilometers or more. The machine gun would have to be laid out on a flat surface otherwise the gun would not work. As the war went on the machine guns were improved to be easier to move around and lighter.
